Christie Williams has earned significant victories in 28 years as a prosecutor and a defense lawyer and is widely recognized by her opponents and peers as one of Texas’ premiere trial attorneys.  She has been recognized by Texas Lawyer as a “Super Lawyer” every year since 2003, the first year the honor was given.  Board Certified in Criminal Law since 1999, Ms. Williams has extensive experience representing corporations and individuals in State and Federal Courts.  Some of her notable trial victories include:

Admitted to the State Bar of Texas, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas.

She is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense lawyers, where she served on the Board of Directors for 17 years and as Parliamentarian.  She is also a member of the Women in White Collar Criminal Defense Association; Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association; Williamson County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and serves on the Review Committee for the Capital Area Public Defenders Service.

Williams graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Nazarene University in 1989 and received her Juris Doctor degree in 1992 from the University of Texas School of Law.  She has taught trial advocacy at both SMU and Baylor law schools, has been a guest lecturer at St. Edwards University and Baylor Law School and is a frequent speaker nationwide.
